Nutritional Tips
I personally think this dish is quite nutritious for canapés or finger food as it contains some protein, carbs, fat and vitamins. However, due to the cream cheese, fats are also included. Eating is not just about what we should be eating, we should also enjoy the appearance of food, the taste, along the atmosphere/environment as well. If canapés are served at a wedding, you would probably be eating ham, cheese, fried canapés, a nice meal and then dessert (wedding cake or maybe extra desserts), so you can probably imagine that your (saturated) fat or salt intake will easily exceed what it should be. Since you probably know what you are going to eat at a wedding, so you may consider eating less on other meals (e.g.: salt, fat…).
Of course, it is important to think about what you are eating but also not to be too obsessed to think “I ate too much fat !”. It is O.K. to eat moderately and from time to time allow yourself to eat and treat yourself. Of course, those who must follow a certain diet due to medical reasons or whatever probably know that they have to be careful, assuming they are seeing a specialist regularly. The data above is just an estimate to have an idea of what the dish would contain if consumed. It is good to know these sometimes as most people do not know where to start or do not bother at all.
For those who never really paid attention to nutrition information before, you can start learning about what is included in food and make your own judgement (e.g.: is it a lot ? is it good ?).
For those who already care and know about nutrition, keep going and I hope my recipes/analysis help in your life 🙂
