Nutritional Tips

What can I say about this dish? One of the popular and famous Spanish tapas dishes. Easy, simple and fast to prepare, yet delicious and I cannot stop eating! I think this is also good for snacking between meals. Padrón peppers are originally from the municipality called “Padrón” in north-west Spain, they are long-conic shaped and typically about 5 cm. Most are sweet and peppery, but you may encounter a hot one sometimes. They go really well with white wine. I encountered a hot one before but I could not identify by their look, they all looked identical!

As they are vegetables and really low in calories, you can eat without worrying like you eat crisps. I personally think padrón peppers’ tastes are quite different from green peppers. So eating padrón peppers as a snack will be a different experience from eating green pepper sticks. Just bear in mind the amount of salt you are adding.
